Ibanez RG752AHM-NGB

Love at first sight

First things first, this guitar is absolutely stunning!

NGB stands for the finish, Nebula Green Burst, on an Ash wood body with a Birdseye Maple fretboard which is b-e-a-utiful! Seriously! The guitar does have a gloss finish on the entire body, covering the natural finish on the back, to the NGB finish on the front and on the headstock, with Ivoroid binding covering the body, neck, and headstock. The neck is nice and flat and not quite as thin as I’d want it to be but it plays effortlessly nonetheless.

Details

Ibanez’ use of DiMarzio pickups in these recent models is definitely an excellent choice with the PAF-7 sets that come in the 752 being an excellent platform for any guitarist to cultivate their own sound.

Equipped with the Lo Pro Edge 7 Tremolo, which I’ve already given a some good tugs and dips, this guitar remains in tune perfectly. The armbar has two spots where you can place plastic pieces on to hold the bar in place more securely, and they include two additional pieces in case you lose or break the ones already on the armbar, very cool.

Wrapping it all up

Whether you play smooth jazz or blazing fast shredIbanez has perfected their craft to cater to various different styles. This guitar being no exception, although it definitely has a lot of flash, it’s built to do the job and more.
